Writing Villains that Readers Love to Hate
What do Dracula, Cersei Lannister, and Erik Killmonger have in common? They're all villains that readers (and audiences) love to hate. In this OnDemand Virtual Conference session, Kristina Perez guides you through the process of developing your own compelling villains. She addresses the backstory, characterization, and worldview necessary to create a villain whom your reader may love even more than your hero. Using examples from her own work as well as classic literature and popular culture, she demonstrates effective techniques for getting readers to root for your villains. By the end of the webinar, participants will have an understanding of the requirements for a charismatic villain and tools to create their own.
