Writing a Trilogy for Young Adult Readers

In this OnDemand Webinar, Kristina Pérez guides you through the process of developing your own YA trilogy. She addresses the plotting, character development, and world-building necessary to sustaining a trilogy. Using examples from her own work and other popular YA trilogies, she demonstrates effective techniques for getting and keeping the reader invested in your series. By the end of the webinar, participants will have an understanding of the requirements of a trilogy and a roadmap for executing their own.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: 

Kristina/KK Pérez is a half-Argentine/half-Norwegian native New Yorker. She is the author of the YA Fantasy Sweet Black Waves trilogy (Imprint/Macmillan), which concluded with Bright Raven Skies on August 25, 2020. She is also the author of The Tesla Legacy (Tor Teen) and The Myth of Morgan La Fey (Palgrave Macmillan). Kristina holds a PhD in Medieval Literature from the University of Cambridge and has taught at the National University of Singapore and the University of Hong Kong. As a journalist, she’s written for many international news outlets including the Wall Street Journal Asia, Condé Nast Traveler, and CNN.
