Structure as Strategy: Building Pace in Historical Narratives

In this session. we'll focus on two pillars of historical writing: pacing and structure. A thoughtful and well-organized structure will guide the reader, even during complex or complicated plot points. It will also allow for information to be shared without the text feeling over-expository. Meanwhile, pacing will work alongside structure to push the plot forward and keep both writer and reader in the narrative sweet spot (not too abrupt, but without lingering too long).
